This consultation seeks views on reforming the process (known as ‘The Crichel Down Rules’) of giving former owners of land acquired by, or under the threat of, use of a compulsory purchase power, the opportunity to repurchase surplus land from disposing authorities.

This consultation seeks views on a range of proposals aimed at consolidating, modernising, simplifying, speeding-up and reducing the administrative costs of the Crichel Down Rules process.
