For the purposes of this monitoring return, "post-permission matters" refer to subsequent applications following the grant of planning permission for major residential development (‘major’ as defined in Article 2 of the Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (England) Order 2015), this focuses on:

Discharge of condition applications
This questionnaire helps us understand how your local planning authority’s development management service was working before any additional funding was provided. It asks how many planning applications you handled in the prior 12 months (1 March 2025 to 1 March 2026) and your capacity and skills on 1 March 2026. This information provides a baseline picture of authority capacity, access to specialist support, and the handling of major residential post-permission work before additional funding was provided. Follow-up monitoring will help us understand reported changes over time.
