Consultation on the proposal from Bromsgrove District Council, Malvern Hills District Council, Redditch Borough Council, Worcester City Council, Wychavon District Council

Consultation for 2 unitary councils:

  1. North Worcestershire unitary authority: Bromsgrove, Redditch and Wyre Forest.​ 

  2. South Worcestershire unitary authority: Malvern Hills, Worcester, and Wychavon. 

1. To what extent do you agree or disagree that the proposal suggests councils that are based on sensible geographies and economic areas?
2. To what extent do you agree or disagree that the proposed councils will be able to deliver the outcomes they describe in the proposal?

As of 5 February 2026, within the Worcestershire area, Worcestershire County Council had received in-principle Exceptional Financial Support to support their 2025/26 budget. This council will not necessarily be in receipt of Exceptional Financial Support in future financial years.
