Consultation on Proposals for Local Government Reorganisation in Norfolk and Suffolk

Closes 11 Jan 2026

Consultation on the proposal from Breckland District Council, Broadland District Council, Great Yarmouth Borough Council, King’s Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council, North Norfolk District Council, and Norwich City Council

Consultation for 3 unitary councils:

  1. West: Breckland, North Norfolk, and King’s Lynn and West Norfolk (plus 9 parishes from South Norfolk).
  2. Norwich: Norwich (plus 19 parishes from Broadland and 16 parishes from South Norfolk).
  3. East: Broadland (less 19 parishes), Great Yarmouth, North Norfolk, and South Norfolk (less 25 parishes).
