There are separate sections for each proposal: 

Consultation on the Proposal from East Sussex County Council, Eastbourne Borough Council, Hastings Borough Council, Lewes District Council and Rother District Council for 2 unitary councils:

  1. A single unitary authority: Eastbourne, Hastings, Lewes, Rother and Wealden
  2. Brighton and Hove to remain unchanged

Consultation on the Proposal from Brighton and Hove City Council for 5 unitary councils:

  1. Unitary A: Brighton and Hove plus 4 wards and 1 parish from Lewes
  2. Unitary B: Eastbourne, Hastings, Rother plus 5 wards from Lewes and 9 wards from Wealden
  3. Unitary C: Mid-Sussex plus 34 wards from Wealden and 10 wards from Lewes
  4. Unitary D: Chichester, Crawley, Horsham
  5. Unitary E: Adur, Arun, and Worthing

Consultation on the Proposal from West Sussex County Council for one unitary council:

  1. A single unitary council:  Adur, Arun, Chichester, Crawley, Horsham, Mid-Sussex and Worthing.

Please note that this is referred to as Option A in their business case.

Consultation on the Proposal from Adur District Council, Arun District Council, Chichester District Council, Crawley Borough Council, Horsham District Council, Mid-Sussex District Council and Worthing Borough Council for 2 unitary councils:

  1. Unitary A: Adur, Arun, Chichester and Worthing
  2. Unitary B: Crawley, Horsham, and Mid Sussex.

Please note that this is referred to as Option B2 in their business case.
