Grenfell Communications
Overview
The Ministry of Housing, Communities, and Local Government (MHCLG) is the Government department leading the response to the Grenfell Tower tragedy. We:
- Lead the Government’s response to Grenfell Tower Inquiry, and work to improve building safety, fire safety and wider reform.
- Are responsible for sharing information and updates, and having a two-way dialogue, with everyone affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy.
- Support the Deputy Prime Minister and Fire and Building Safety Minister in their relationship with the Grenfell community.
- Support the independent Grenfell Tower Memorial Commission in their work to determine a fitting and lasting memorial, determined by the community.
- Work to ensure the voices of the Grenfell community are heard across Government on the issues you care about.
- Work across Government and with the local council, local NHS services, and others to ensure you have the support you need.
- Manage the Grenfell Tower site safely and securely, ensure all work is carried our sensitively and respectfully and engage with the community at every step of the way, including through:
- Monthly updates about the site published on Gov.uk
- Community updates about key issues
- Reports and information published on GOV.UK
