Landowners Survey-2025
Overview
The Ministry of Housing, Communities, and Local Government are interested in learning more about the views and experiences of landowners with regards to bringing forward residential development on their land.
Participation is voluntary – you do not have to take part if you do not want to. If you decide to participate, you are free to withdraw at any time.
At the end of the survey, you will be asked if you would like to receive a receipt and a PDF copy of your responses via email. This is completely optional and MHCLG will NOT have access to your email address. All data collected will be completely anonymised.
Why your views matter
This research is being conducted to inform policy making as part of our long-term housing strategy, which is currently in development. We would be very grateful if you could spare approximately 10 minutes to tell us about your views on whether you have, or would consider putting forward land for residential development, and the reasons why/why not.
Privacy and Data Retention
You can find a link to the full MHCLG privacy statement in the footer of every page of this survey. While some data - such as IP address - may be recorded automatically at the point of submission, once the survey closes all data will be anonymised. There are some freetext boxes in this survey - please do not include personal information (such as names or addresses of sites). We may use statistics from this survey across the department and more widely across the civil service to help inform our understanding of land use and views and requirements of land owners.
